Privacy Policy for Milk Meadow

Last updated: 28 August 2026

Milk Meadow's developer does not collect or have access to your pumping or health data.

Milk Meadow is a breast pump tracker that runs entirely on your iPhone. It has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party software development kits. This policy explains what that means in practice.

Information we collect

Milk Meadow's developer does not collect your personal information or pumping data. The app uses Apple's StoreKit framework to load, purchase, verify, and restore the optional Milk Meadow Plus upgrade. Apple processes those transactions under Apple's privacy policy; Milk Meadow has no payment server or customer account database.

Information you create

Everything you record in Milk Meadow — pumping sessions, volumes, notes, stored milk batches, feeds, storage locations, pumps, and your settings — is written to a private database on your device. It is:

We cannot see this data. Milk Meadow has no developer-operated server or account database. You can export your records at any time, regardless of Plus status.

Purchases

If you choose Milk Meadow Plus, the purchase is processed by Apple through StoreKit. The app reads Apple's signed transaction on your device only to determine whether Plus is unlocked. Pumping sessions, volumes, notes, milk batches, feeds, and settings are never part of a purchase transaction. We do not operate a purchase server or receive those records.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, Milk Meadow schedules local notifications through iOS. These are generated on your device and delivered by your device. No push server is involved and no information leaves your iPhone. Notification permission is requested only when you switch a reminder on, and you can revoke it at any time in iOS Settings.

Exporting your data

Milk Meadow can generate CSV files of your sessions, stored milk, and feeds. These files are created on your device and handed to the iOS share sheet only when you ask for them. Where they go from there — Files, Mail, AirDrop, or another app — is entirely your choice, and that destination's own privacy policy applies once you send them.

Children

Milk Meadow is intended for adults tracking their own pumping. It collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Health information

Milk Meadow does not connect to Apple Health and does not read or write HealthKit data. The milk storage limits shown in the app follow published U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidance for healthy full-term infants. They are general information, not medical advice. Please consult your pediatrician or a lactation consultant with questions about your own situation.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Milk Meadow ever changes how data is handled, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
